My work investigates the fluid and evolving nature of memory, a practice I describe as the Archaeology of Memory. Through series like Memory Mutation, Childhood, Memory Drawing, Memory Box, and Realfake, I explore how memories are collected, distorted, and reconstructed over time. Memory Mutation visualizes the transformation of recollection through hybrid figures—half-human, half-animal—representing the fluid intersection between past and present. Childhood delves into early experiences, using playful colors and abstract forms to depict how vivid moments gradually fragment into dots as memories fade. These visual elements highlight the transient and mutable essence of recollection, shaped by both internal processes and external stimuli.
The Memory Box series adds another dimension, juxtaposing intimacy and unfamiliarity through symbolic icons and structures, representing stored and evolving personal narratives. Realfake, on the other hand, critiques the blurred boundaries between truth and fiction in a digitally mediated world, particularly within the Metaverse. By reassembling visual elements, this series questions contemporary notions of authenticity and reality. Together, these works form a cohesive exploration of memory’s dynamic layers, inviting viewers to reflect on how their own memories shape identity and perception in a constantly shifting world.
